Attendance Calculator

By the CalcMundi team · Updated October 22, 2026 · Formulas checked against standard financial math

Enter the total number of classes, the minimum attendance and your absences so far to see how many you can still miss.

How it works

Maximum absences = total classes × (100% − minimum attendance), rounded down. Subtract the absences you already have to see what is left.

Example

A course with 80 classes and an 80% attendance rule allows 16 absences. With 6 absences so far, you can still miss 10 classes.

Frequently asked questions

Are excused absences counted?

It depends on your school. Many schools do not count excused absences toward the limit. Check your student handbook.
